ENSCO to provide track geometry and rail wear measurement tech for Brightline

ENSCO Rail, Inc. has secured a contract for its track geometry and rail wear measurement technology from private-sector railroad Brightline, which operates intercity passenger service between central and south Florida.
The technology, described as using “state-of-the-art sensors and algorithms to measure critical rail parameters in real time,” will provide Brightline with a “comprehensive track condition assessment,” according to ENSCO. It will also “enable autonomous condition monitoring of the track infrastructure in support of asset management decisions that keep the rail network in top condition,” the supplier noted.
